New Website As you can see the new website is taking form and should be fully completed within the next couple of weeks. The galleries are not completed yet since we require your images. There are 2 galleries – the main gallery is going to be a wall of images. For this we want your single best/favourite image. The members gallery is where you can exhibit 9 of your images together with other information about the camera you use, preferred/specialised genre of photography and a link to your own website or flickr or picasa page etc. Images need to be jpeg and resized to 1400px x 1050px – the same format as for the Digital Competitions. These need to be sent via email or put on a disk and given to me clearly indicating which images go in which gallery. If you require any further information then email me - malchughes@hotmail.com
Digital Competitions The club has purchased new software for the Digital Competitions. The process of resizing is exactly the same as previous but instead of resizing to 1024px by 768px images now need to be resized to 1400px by 1050px and saved as a jpeg file at the maximum quality. The naming of your images has also changed. The filename of the image can be called anything you want for your own purposes but for the Competitions then you need to right click on the image and choose properties. You then choose the detail tab. A list of properties for the image will appear. Next to the Title you need to enter the title of your image – as you want it to appear on the screen. Next to Author you need to place your name. Click OK and the information will be saved and then can be sent in to the competition in the normal ways. For more information then click here for a help sheet. |
